My Designing Plans For The Next Two Weeks

It is the beginning of the Easter holidays here in the UK. This means I have my daughter at home for 2 weeks. We had lots planned but then she went and broke her arm at school on the last day!!! So we've had to cancel a lot of things. This also means that we've travelled back in time and she is more dependent on me.

So, what does this mean for my designing over the next 2 weeks?

Well, I shall continue to get up at 5.30am and design until hubby and daughter wake at 7am. However, I don't think I shall get much done in the day. Hopefully I shall be able to do a couple of new packs this week. I have some that are almost ready to launch also.

*New Design* - Red Damask Digital Scrapbooking Paper - 2 different styles

I've been a busy bee this last week and the latest in the packs is a Damask style in Dark red. There are 2 styles of packs. One is in shades of the Dark Red and the other is Dark Red with White.

They are both with no paper texture but I shall add textured versions in the future.

I decided to move on to Damask designs this week. Instead of being 12 pages there are 16. This was because I couldn't make my mind up which designs to leave out!

I was so in love with the colour palette that I used on the Easter papers that I just had to come up with another pack using them. I couldn't make up my mind what patterns to use, so the end result was a mixed pattern pack. Makes sense eh.

I am now doing each pack with and without texture. That keeps everyone happy. I hope. :-)

I am seeing spots in my sleep now so thought I would try a new range of patterns. This pack includes 12 sheets of digital paper in a striped pattern. There are some triangles included which give it a bunting feel. I'm thinking about doing an elements pack to match including a bunting. What do you think to that idea?

Half Term Week Design Plans

It is half term where I live which means my 6 year old is running around and my computer is looking at me forlornly from across the room. I am at present writing this at 5.30am because it is the only time I can spend with it each day until she returns to school. This gives me just over an hour each morning which isn't a great deal of time. I'm spending that time on promoting the new store and outlining some designs.

I have decided to change tact a bit. I shall be uploading the designs in colour form instead of pattern form. I have a palette of 15 colours so far and they have all been done in a style with 12 varients. For example, Dots and Spots. There are 12 sheets of various dots and spots papers in one particular colour. I will do this each time with a new style which will mean in the end you can mix and match your packs knowing they all coordinate in pattern or colour. I'm not explaining this very well and I put that down to the fact its only 5.30am!!!!

I'm feeling romantic what with Valentines Day being around the corner. Sick bucket anyone? Well, I didn't want to go down the totally soppy route and go pink, pink, pink so instead I came up with the following design. It is in the pastels range so compliments the Tiny Flowers (pastels) Paper Pack. I thought highlighting the roses in black would make it gothic style? Anyway, here is the finished result. So here is my first post in the world of digital designing. I've been busy designing scrapbooking papers and today finally started setting up the shop on Etsy.
